Or, the Worst Shithole in the Galaxy
Okay, kid, listen up. Let me tell you something about our beautiful little galaxy.
This place is where the scum of the scum live. The worst of the worst. And their descendants. And their descendants. You get the idea.
Somewhere else, the galaxy probably looks better. But here … the standard color is rust, and the most popular decoration is scrap. The particularly creative ones add trash and dirt.
The most popular commodity is Quextron. It’s made from Quex. Water and a whole lot of pressure turn Quex into a powder that aliens snort and … then the galaxy gets colorful. You get it. Drugs.
Murder and sex are pretty good commodities too. Most people work in those industries. At least the ones with money.
I don’t remember why our system is so fucked up anymore … A few thousand years ago, something big happened and tore a couple of planets apart. The planets that are still worth a damn are the ones where the rich live. Drug dealers, mass murderers, and particularly successful prostitutes.
You get the idea, right? Stay away from those planets. They’re the ones that still have something green or blue somewhere.
There are a hell of a lot of aliens. But only four or five species intelligent enough that I don’t have to think about raccoons when I look at them.
To survive, you only need to know a few things:
1. Stay away from mages.
They’re aliens and humans who were exposed to so much Quex as children that they’re completely overpowered. Moving things with their minds. Shooting light out of their hands and that kind of bullshit. Almost infertile, but they live forever.
Except the Endoran. They’re blue and originally come from a planet made entirely of Quex. They adapted. Super powerful, live forever, and reproduce like rabbits. And they’re hot.
2. Stay away from AI cases.
They’re … basically robots. But super intelligent. An invention of humanity. AI and bodies. Apparently, they got a little too hot for their inventor, so he shot them into space. In the other sector, they apparently liked them so much that they sent them back to clean up ours.
And they do. But you really don’t want to listen to their analyses.
3. Quex.
It comes in gas, liquid, ore, and powder. You need it for everything. But don’t eat it and don’t touch it. Unless you want to turn into a white-and-blue statue, burn up, and crumble into dust.
Quex is deadly. And don’t ask me how they get it into the drive cores of all kinds of things. I’m a taxi driver, not a technician. With a lot of caution, I guess.
And finally:
FRIENDS.
If you want to survive around here, you need a bunch of loyal idiots who’ll get through this shit with you.
I’m Terrix Vexhrin. Taxi driver, loudmouth, and government-owned. But loyal to my friends. You want it simpler? Sure. I’m a spy and I’m really short. Clear?
Then have fun in the Eris System. And don’t let yourself get eaten.
I’m dropping you off at Notalive. It’s THE nightclub in the galaxy. This is where the best stories begin.

I’m Raven Morrigan Hawke, artist and worldbuilder creating Elyndor and the Eris System—two worlds shaped by stories, characters, mysteries, and countless little details.
Elyndor is a dark, living fantasy world of ancient secrets, strange creatures, magic, and stories that rarely go exactly as planned.
The Eris System takes those ideas somewhere else entirely: into the vastness of space, where technology, distant worlds, and new stories are waiting to be discovered.
Through art, stories, and worldbuilding, I invite you to step inside both worlds—and see what you find along the way.
